I found my head spinning last night (August 27, 2018) in the midst of chaos - ran down into my studio to untangle my stress with a little paint...."Beautiful Chaos" was a super frustrating piece...a brain drain....an unorganized mess of strange, random colors....I was painting to find my center, to somehow find balance in the midst of chaos....and by the end of this piece...I welcomed it with open arms and was able to find and appreciated the beauty within the chaos.
The joys of parenthood -
Running here, running there.
Being pulled this way and that.
Rushing this way and back.
Maybe not loving
Every single minute of every day.
But, we wouldn't trade it away-
Not for anything!
They are our everything.
And before we know it,
This beautiful chaos-
Will slow down.
Our children no longer around.
And we will miss the running-
The joy, the noise-
That once consumed
Our every day.
So enjoy these moments.
Find the beauty in the chaos
And celebrate the craze.
Before you know it-
These will soon be...
Our good ol' days.
