It definitely gives it the “pop” you were looking for. I love 300 lb black paper to work on. Haven’t tried the canvases much. They aren’t black enough so I would have to paint them first.

Thank you! I like the cradled art boards to paint on. I do paint those black first to get that extra pop! I also prefer an untextured surface vs. the canvas material from time to time.
